Redstone Elevator
A glass lift shaft against a mossy stone cliff, with a working two-way flying-machine elevator inside, parked at the bottom (Java Edition 1.21). The machine is two sticky pistons, two observers, two slime blocks and two honey blocks, and you ride on the honey. Press the spruce button on the redstone lamp at the bottom landing to go up, and the one at the top landing to come back down: the lamp lighting up sets off an observer, then the two halves push and pull each other up one block at a time until they reach the obsidian stop. Put the obsidian exactly where the guide shows it. Slime and honey can't drag obsidian, so the machine never pulls the landings along with it. The cliff is stone, cobblestone, mossy stone bricks and moss under a grass top with an oak tree, ferns, flowers and vines. The shaft is glass panes between dark oak logs, with lanterns at both landings.
