What X-Builds is
X-Builds is an independent, fan-made companion for building in Minecraft: build guides with material lists, step-by-step pictures, 3D previews and a cinematic renderer. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
Your account
You can use X-Builds as a guest. An anonymous identity is created so your data can be backed up. You are responsible for the device you use it on. Resetting app data or deleting the app removes the local copy; contact us to delete the server copy.
You can also sign in with an email address in the app; we email you a one-time code, and there is no password. Signing in links your progress and X-Builds Pro to that email so they work on your other devices. Keep access to that email address. You can delete the account in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account) or by contacting us. The website has no accounts.
X-Builds Pro
- Plans. A yearly subscription (with a free trial where offered) and a one-time lifetime purchase, sold in the app through the App Store and Google Play, and on the website. Pro bought in the app unlocks the app; Pro bought on the website unlocks the website. They are separate purchases. Prices are shown in your local currency before you confirm.
- Trials. If a free trial is offered, you are not charged until it ends. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial to avoid the first payment.
- Renewal. Yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings for purchases made in the app, or in the customer portal linked from your website Pro page and your receipt email for purchases made on the website; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- What Pro includes. All cinematic presets, early access to new builds and any builds marked premium. The launch catalog is free for everyone. We may add to Pro over time; we will not remove the core features above without notice.
- Refunds. Purchases in the app are processed by Apple or Google under their refund policies; purchases on the website by Dodo Payments (below). See our refund page.
- Pro on the website. The website has no accounts: a purchase there comes with a license key, sent by email, which turns Pro on in a browser. Keep it to use Pro in another browser; each key works in a limited number of browsers at once, and you can remove it from one on its Pro page to free it.
- Purchases on the website. Our order process on the website is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our website orders. Dodo Payments provides all customer service inquiries about payments and handles returns, under the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms.
Content and rights
The written guides, the build data (block lists, steps and material counts), the app and website code, the mascot and the X-Builds name and logo are owned by X-Studio or used under licence, as recorded per build in the app. You may use the guides to build in your own Minecraft worlds. You may not scrape, bulk-copy, redistribute or resell the guides, the build data or the code.
Pictures and clips that show only our own generated textures, such as build pictures made before we switched to REFI textures and clips from older app versions, are ours too. You may share them with the watermark left in place; you may not scrape or resell them.

Block textures from REFI Textures by MysticTempest are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. So are our REFI texture atlas (the image that holds them, our own tiles in it included) and every picture that shows REFI textures: build pictures, step pictures, material icons, and pictures and clips exported from the Cinematic Studio. A build's page on the website says when its pictures show REFI textures, and Cinematic Studio exports that show them carry the REFI credit under the watermark.

- You may copy, share and adapt these textures and pictures for any purpose, including commercial use, and you may crop them or remove the watermark, as long as you give the credit, link to the licence, say if you changed them and share adaptations under the same licence.
- These Terms put no limits or conditions on how you use, copy, adapt or share the REFI textures and the pictures that show them once you have them, including taking them out of the app or website and removing the watermark; CC BY-SA 4.0 governs that. Where these Terms and CC BY-SA 4.0 differ about them, CC BY-SA 4.0 applies.
- Getting access is a separate matter. Access to premium builds still requires Pro (or a free unlock where the app offers one), and the Pro rule in “Acceptable use” applies whatever you want the pictures for.
- The watermark in the corner and the credit line tell you who to credit. The full credits, the licence and the list of our changes to REFI are on the Credits page.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass Pro gating, reverse engineer the app beyond what law permits, or use X-Builds to infringe the rights of others. These are rules about access and about the app itself, not about reuse: REFI textures and pictures that show them which you have received may still be copied out of the app or website and reused under CC BY-SA 4.0.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep X-Builds running, but it is provided as is, without warranties. Features may change. If we ever discontinue Pro, active lifetime purchasers will be offered a fair remedy.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, X-Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of X-Builds. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under local law.
